Know Your
Bagel Maker.
Behind every independent bagel shop, cottage bakery, and pop-up is a person getting up way too early to make something they're proud to put their name on.
This is a map to help you find those people.
Because Big Bagel has enough money.
Bagels have always been neighborhood food. Made by people, for people, in the communities they call home.
But it's getting harder to tell who's actually behind the places we eat.
Sometimes the neighborhood bagel shop is exactly what it looks like. Sometimes there's a much bigger company behind it.
So we're making that a little easier to see. For this project, independent means independently owned. Every maker is reviewed before they're verified on the map.
No paid placement. No better spot on the map because somebody wrote a check. Just independent bagel makers and a way to find them.
Keep the bagels local. Keep the money local.

Help us find the bagel makers we're missing.
The best bagel in your town might come from a 40-year neighborhood institution. It might come from a shop that opened six months ago. It might come from somebody's kitchen or a folding table at the farmers market.
We want all of them on the map. That's where you come in.
